Welcome to the Rock & Bowl!
In a huge 1930’s building in the heart of Bristol you’ll find our hostel, the Lanes & the GimmeShelter Vintage shop all in one! Situated on the top two floors of this historic building in the city centre, our backpackers’ hostel is a great base for your stay in the city.
Being one of Bristol’s most central hostels, we’re only a 2-minute walk (downhill too!) from the central bus station we have some of the best street artists’ work right on our doorstep along Nelson St from the See No Evil festival this year.
As one of our guests you’ll be staying above a lively music venue, so we’ve teamed up with the Lanes to make sure you get the best deals! (see post-it note). If you want to stay longer then our special weekly rates and English language courses held here make it easy to get to know Bristol.
Please note that parking in the city centre can be very expensive and we can’t offer any free parking. Under-18s only accepted midweek. They must be in a private room and accompanied by adults. There are no lockers in the room, however, we have luggage storage by reception and secure storage for expensive items/documents behind reception.
